Once #2 has been rubbed into the same teak as #1, the work is done. This is also why it’s important to use both #1 & #2 formulas to leave your wood looking brand new. This chemical reaction needs to happen in the teak, not in your pail or brush. They will neutralize each other upon contact.
NOTE! When applying formula #2 use a NEW pail, brush/scouring pad set or rinse the old ones thoroughly! Formula #1 is an acid & #2 is a base. While waiting, read our NOTE! And repeat steps 3-5 with formula #2. Once the entire surface turns blackish, let it set in for 2-3 mins. With wood still wet, pour #1 onto teak or apply with brush/scouring pad. It can be diluted up to 4 to 1 or used full strength. Please only use #2 in conjunction with Snappy Teak Nu #1. Snappy Teak Nu #2 is part two of a two part teak cleaning system.
